I was born and raised in Nebraska. I am a full time artist & an active member of the Lincoln Artists' Guild. My mind is always swirling with new ideas, and I use painting as a creative release. Acrylic is my favorite medium of choice. I love the bold colors and how it allows me to achieve the texture I desire. In the past few years my paintings have become filled with lots of rich texture, vivid colors, just more alive. My goal with every piece of artwork is that when someone views my paintings they feel something. I want it to speak volumes to them.
A lot of my work is textured acrylic. I add a gel medium to the acrylic or on occasion dry wall compound to achieve thickness I want. I then add layers to complete the desired effect. A variety of tools, for example, spoon, palette knife, putty knife, trowel, pastry bag, and a paint brush are also used. I often just grab whatever is handy and fun to experiment with. I'm always on a treasurer hunt for new tools and use them to explore new ideas." My paintings are part of numerous private collection through the states. I feel very fortunate my painting have also been part of special exhibitions in Noyes Art Gallery and Against The Wall Art Gallery.
